My 3D animation teacher (a former 2D animator at Disney, actually) said that the 3D work in the first Toy Story movie made the 2D animators at Disney start to worry, as they realized that 3D was now capable of competing with the work they had been doing in the 2D studios. Prior to the original Toy Story, he said they had believed that 3D was just a ‘fad’ that would die out in time. End of irrelevant trivia. Carry on. I just felt like sharing.)
